What are you thankful for? We go through each day saying "please" and "thank you" to menial things. We are thankful for the little things around us. The real question should be, what are you grateful for?
As we enter today, being Memorial Day, I sit back and think about how much gratitude I have for those that have sacrificed their lives so that we may have the freedoms we have in this country. Things we take for granted, every day, and don't really even think twice about. Today is the day to not only reflect on how blessed we really are, but to remember those people who gave their life in the line of duty. Those who believe in God, family, and country. Those who were willing to put their family and strangers they have never met across this expansive country of ours above their own lives. We are grateful for these brave and selfless soldiers that gave everything they possibly could. We are grateful for the families who are mourning their loved ones today as they too were also willing to sacrifice while their husbands, wives, sons, daughters, and parents were fighting for their country. As you go about your day today, remember those who fought and lost their lives. We have the right to so many things in the country because of these amazing individuals. With our deepest gratitude to all the fallen soldiers and the families they left behind, words can never express, just how grateful we truly are. Today is a day to honor the fallen soldiers that we are forever grateful for.
While we remember and honor these incredible lives that were lost, we can't help but extend our gratitude to all those who have served and continue to serve our country in a way not many of us can. Those that have fought in wars, left their families and loved ones behind to continue to keep our country safe. Those that are currently serving in each and every branch of the military. The pride they have in our country is immeasurable and one we can never repay. We want to personally thank Lisa's father-in-law Pops (shown above) for his service, along with Leilani's father and many relatives, my grandfather and his brother, for their service during past wars. We also extend gratitude to the multitude of friends and loved ones that are currently serving. We cherish and appreciate the dedication and sacrifice of the Allen family, the Black family, the Eryavec family, the Patterson family, the George family, the Wong family, the Campbell family, and the many others serving our country so we may be free.
